Besiktas eye Sturridge as Tosun replacement

Besiktas will move their attention to Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, after Cenk Tosun completes his move to Everton, according to Turkish source Fanatik.

Sturridge, 28, reportedly wants to leave Anfield after becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of game time he’s been getting this season in a World Cup year, and the Turkish giants are willing to give the English international just that.

With Sturridge still hopeful of getting into Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer, he is desperate for more first-team football, and Besiktas are willing to take the forward on loan for the rest of the season, with a potential permanent move in the summer.

The striker has only featured once in Jurgen Klopp’s previous ten matches, coming in the 7-0 thrashing the Reds gave Spartak Moscow.

Besiktas are willing to pay the Reds around €15 million for Sturridge, which will be around half of what the club will receive for Tosun heading to Everton.
