Besiktas are coughing up a fee worth £2.25 million to sign Loris Karius on a two-year loan deal from Liverpool, the ECHO have confirmed.
The Turkish club are believed to have wrapped up a deal to sign the German goalkeeper, who has fallen out of favour at Anfield following his mistakes in the Champions League final at the end of last season.
Besiktas have been on the lookout for a new goalkeeper throughout the summer and have arrived at Karius, with the former Mainz star joining for an initial loan cost of £2.25 million.

However, as per a report from the ECHO, an obligatory buyout clause has been included in the deal. If Besiktas ensure qualification to European competition and Karius meets a certain total of appearances, it’s stated that the Turkish outfit will be forced to pay £7.25 million for the acquisition of the goalkeeper.
Liverpool have also reportedly insisted on the inclusion of a 20% sell-on clause in the deal, in case Karius’ move to Besiktas is made permanent.
