Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has offered some advice to Jurgen Klopp, with the Reds pushing for the Premier League title this season.
Speaking on talkSPORT, as cited on the Daily Star, Rodgers urged his former side to stay calm at the top of the table if they want to get their hands on the trophy.
It’s just about trying to stay calm and focus on playing well, and if you can do that you get the chance to win. I look at it back in 2014, in our last 14 games we actually won 12 of them, drew one and lost one, but we still ended up losing the title. It’s a difficult one for Liverpool.
Liverpool missed the opportunity to extend their lead over Manchester City to seven points with a draw at home to Leicester on Wednesday night.
Despite now sitting five points clear, the result almost felt like a defeat for the club, with a nervous atmosphere surrounding Anfield on the night.
Rodgers came ever so close to guiding Liverpool to the Premier League title back during his time at the club, while he has also won a plethora of trophies during his time with Celtic.
Liverpool will have to wait until Monday to try and extend their lead once again, with a visit to the London Stadium on the cards.
