Can missing as Liverpool train ahead of Watford clash

Liverpool could be without Emre Can for their clash with Watford this weekend, as the player appeared to have missed training on Thursday.

The club’s training gallery showed no signs of the German international, who has been playing a key role for the Reds in recent weeks.

Can and his teammate Gini Wijnaldum attended a charity event with school children in the local area at Anfield today. However, the latter was pictured in training with no sign of Can, prompting fears that he could be struggling with an injury.

The Reds will be desperate to have as close to a full squad available as they can for the game against the Hornets, as Jurgen Klopp’s men look to bridge the gap between second place and third.

Can is likely to leave Liverpool this summer as his contract continues to run down, but Klopp will be desperate to have him available for as long as he can.
