Former Liverpool midfielder and current pundit Danny Murphy has urged England manager Gareth Southgate to call up Daniel Sturridge into the England squad, according to a report on Talksport.
The striker has managed to find some goalscoring form for Liverpool this season and has already managed to find the back of the net four times.

Sturridge scored a sensational late equaliser at Stamford Bridge to preserve Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the league campaign and Murphy believes he is worthy of a spot in the England team.
He said:
Sturridge has got to be in the next England squad. Vardy is finished for England and we’ve got this heavy reliance on Kane.
Sturridge should be there comfortably. I would put him in, he looks as fit as ever.
Sturridge’s last England appearance came almost one year ago but after finding some form in recent weeks, Southgate must seriously be considering bringing him back into the international setup.
Jurgen Klopp knows that he can rely on Sturridge to make an impact whenever he is required, just as he did against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League when he started ahead of Roberto Firmino.
