It seems as though Nabil Fekir’s proposed transfer to Liverpool could very well still be o,n despite negotiations falling through prior to the 2018 World Cup.
Lyon Chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has opened the door once again on a potential deal after Liverpool pulled out of negotiations last month as a result of a worrying medical.

In an interview with Le10Sport, he said:
It seems to me that Liverpool could come back in. That’s what I’ve read in the press, but I’ve not been told anything.
Fekir helped his home nation to their second World Cup as France beat Croatia 4-2 in yesterday’s final, a match in which Fekir featured in, coming on for the unimpressive Olivier Giroud in the 81st minute.

Fekir impressed in Russia when coming on as a substitute. It is believed the Reds are preparing a bid in the region of €55 million in order to tempt Lyon into selling.
Jurgen Klopp is still keen on signing a playmaker in the midfield having already signed Xherdan Shaqiri, Fabinho and Naby Keita this summer.
Fekir impressed last season and was the talisman as Lyon qualified for the UEFA Champions League. He scored 24 goals in all competitions and also provided an impressive 10 assists.

Fekir’s future is very much unclear at this given point but with a summer move looking likely for the 24-year-old, a switch to Anfield still looks very much on the cards.
