Egpyt assistant manager Hany Ramzy has delivered an update on the condition of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah after the forward limped off during his side’s win against Swaziland.
Salah helped his national team cruise to a comprehensive 4-1 victory against their counterparts on Friday night, netting directly from a corner to cap a fine win.
However, just minutes before the full-time whistle blew, Salah was forced to make way after picking up what looked to be a knock to his hamstring.
This prompted concern among Liverpool fans, with the enigmatic winger gingerly walking off the pitch in the closing stages of Egypt’s impressive victory.

Egypt assistant Ramzy, however, has allayed fears that Salah’s injury is a serious one. Although a full diagnosis is not yet known, it seems there is little cause for concern over Salah’s condition.
As reported by the Evening Standard, the national team assistant labelled the injury as “not big”.
The initial diagnosis confirmed that the injury is a muscle strain and there is no possibility of muscle rupture. The player needs to have radiation to determine the injury and the duration of his absence.
It is not a big injury, we support him with all our energy and we hope he will return without being affected by an injury as soon as possible.
