Noël Le Graet, the president of the French Football Federation, has delivered an update on Liverpool’s pursuit of Nabil Fekir.
Speaking to the French media as the national squad continue to prepare for this summer’s World Cup, Le Graet praised Fekir’s focus and revealed that the player feels his medical examinations at Liverpool went well.
I saw him this morning for 15 minutes. He’s in the middle of negotiating, I think they will get it done. He was confident about it because the medical he underwent was positive.
Fekir is likely to join Liverpool in a deal worth an initial £48.4m, if reports are to be believed, along with additional bonuses stated to be around £5m.

However, concerns had been raised regarding whether or not a deal would advance, with apparent fears over Fekir’s physical condition growing following his medical with the Reds.
This does not appear to be the case, though, with La Graet speaking of his confidence that a deal will be closed in the near future.
Fekir is likely to become Liverpool’s second signing this summer, joining Fabinho. Naby Keita will also join at the start of next month following the Reds’ agreement last year with RB Leipzig.
