Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has visited a private hospital in Liverpool for scans on his leg to give a clearer idea about the extent of the injury he picked up against Maribor in the 3-0 victory in the UEFA Champions League, according to a report on the Daily Mail.
The Dutchman was forced off in the 17th minute in midweek and manager Jurgen Klopp was still unsure about the extent of the injury.
Wijnaldum’s injury was the only negative to take from a complete performance by Klopp’s men.

Philippe Coutinho is also going to miss the clash with West Ham United with an abductor injury.
Klopp was initially worried about the extent of the injury suffered by Wijnaldum but is hoping to be given some good news following the scan.
He said:
Nobody spoke to me so far [about it]. At half-time I asked immediately and the ankle was already swollen. It’s probably not a good sign. We saw a kick in the game and didn’t think it was too serious. Then it was swollen. We’re not sure if he twisted it or not. For sure, we have to make a scan.
Wijnaldum hobbled off the Anfield pitch and was embraced by Klopp as he headed straight down the tunnel but the German manager will be hoping to have him back for selection soon.
