Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that defender Joe Gomez will miss another four to six weeks after having surgery on his leg.
As reported by the Evening Standard’s Liverpool correspondent David Lynch, the operation went well and Gomez will now begin his recovery.

The Englishman suffered the injury earlier in the season against Burnley but it proved to be a lot more serious than first expected.
Gomez established a solid partnership in defence with Virgil Van Dijk in the first few months of the campaign.
The youngster was rewarded for his fine performances with a new contract in December, signing a deal that runs until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Last week, Klopp admitted that it was a big blow that the injury required surgery but he also made it clear that the club did not want Gomez to rush back into action.
