Guardiola claims Liverpool have had it ‘easy’ in title race

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that Premier League rivals Liverpool have had it ‘easy’ in recent weeks by playing ‘without pressure’, the Liverpool Echo report.

Guardiola’s side took one step closer to retaining the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Leicester City on Monday night.

The win means that City head into the final day one point clear of Jurgen Klopp’s side, knowing a win over Brighton will be enough to retain the title.

However, talking after the win on Monday, Guardiola controversially claimed that the Reds have had it easy in recent weeks due to the title being out of their hands.

Liverpool right now play without pressure because they know it is not in their hands. It is easy to play in these kind of games.

We have the pressure because we can lose because it is in our hands but we deserve to be in that position.

We have one more game left and we will try.

Liverpool entertain Wolves on Sunday and know anything but three points at Anfield will mean City once again claim the Premier League title.
