Henderson and Keita ruled out of Red Star game

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita will miss this week’s Champions League clash with Red Star Belgrade.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, as reported by James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo, Klopp explained that the game has come around too quickly for the Liverpool pair.

Henderson was an injury doubt for the game after being forced off against Huddersfield over the weekend.

A hamstring problem meant he did not see out the game against Huddersfield, but the problem is not believed to be too serious.

Keita has also been struggling with injuries, with will force Klopp into rotating his side against the Serbian outfit on Wednesday night.

The Guinean suffered a thigh injury while away on international duty and he has been unable to shake it off in time.

The midfielder missed the game against Huddersfield over the weekend and his absence could give an opportunity to someone like Adam Lallana to get some more minutes under his belt.
