Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Jordan Henderson is closing in on a return to training, but both he and Naby Keita will miss the game against Arsenal.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, as reported by the David Lynch of the Evening Standard, Klopp provided an injury update on the pair.
Both players have been suffering from injuries for some time now, but their first-team return does not appear to be far away.
The Reds will be keen to have the players available again as injury problems begin to mount up at Melwood.
Henderson and Keita had already been expected to miss the game, while there had also been doubts over the fitness of Mohamed Salah, however, the latter is expected to be fit for the game.
The Reds will be hoping to put their injury problems aside and secure a positive result on Saturday as they bid to maintain pace with Manchester City with both sides locked on 26 points.
