Inter Milan offered the chance to sign Divock Origi on loan

Liverpool have offered Inter Milan the chance to sign Divock Origi on loan this month, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 25-year-old has become even more of a fringe player at Liverpool this season, not making a single start in the Premier League.

Origi’s Anfield future looks bleak and it could be that he is moved on temporarily in January.

Inter are believed to have been given the opportunity to bring him in, allowing them to add depth to their squad and to team up with Belgium colleague Romelu Lukaku.

Origi may be keen to move on this month, in order to guarantee a place in Belgium’s Euro 2020 squad this summer.

A lack of football could potentially put paid to those chances, which may be a concern for him.

In truth, it is hard to see Origi having any kind of long-term future at Liverpool, with the striker increasingly resembling a square peg in a round hole these days.

On the rare occasions that he does play, he blunts the Reds’ attack, with his touch too often evading him and his link-up play not good enough.

Just seven goals and two assists in the last two-and-half Premier League seasons sums up his lack of effectiveness in the final third.
