Liverpool have been handed a potential injury blow ahead of their upcoming games against Genk and Manchester City as club captain Jordan Henderson is sitting out of the training session which is taking place at this moment.
Henderson played the entire game on Saturday afternoon as Liverpool left it late to come from behind to beat Aston Villa at Villa Park, thanks to an 87th-minute goal from Andy Robertson and a very late winner from Sadio Mane.
However, whilst the rest of the Liverpool squad are training at Melwood as usual, the Reds’ skipper is not involved.
As of yet, there is no word on why Henderson isn’t involved in the session.

Henderson had a bit of a difficult game against Villa. He was by no means terrible, but he had a few head-scratching moments, but that’s almost irrelevant now that the Reds have all three points in the bag.
If Henderson is carrying any type of injury, then it would make sense to leave him out of the squad for the Genk game and look to get him fit and firing to face Man City on Sunday.
