Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has been discussing his relationship with Sadio Mane and revealed to the club’s official website that he vowed in 2014 to someday play alongside the winger.
The Guinean worked with his Reds teammate during his time in Austria with Red Bull Salzburg and the pair were reunited in the summer.
Keita completed a big-money move to Anfield following an agreement between Liverpool and RB Leipzig in the summer of 2017, which saw him reunite with Mane.
The winger left Salzburg in 2014 to complete a move to Southampton before he joined the Reds only two years later.

Keita recently spoke about his relationship with the enigmatic wide player and revealed that when he completed a move to the Premier League four-and-a-half years ago, he knew that they would play together again one day.
He said:
All my teammates have always been there for me, but of course, I am close to Sadio, he has helped me an awful lot. He has spoken to me a lot and given me a lot of advice because he is more experienced.
Sadio knows me a bit, we were at Salzburg together and we have now moved to another level. When he went off to play in England, I said to myself: ‘I’m going to play alongside you one day.’ All that has come from hard work and desire.
After a slow start to life in Merseyside, the midfielder has shown promising signs in his maiden campaign at the club.
