Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan has edged ever closer to completing a £2m move to Cagliari, with Football Italia reporting that the centre-back has passed his medical at the club today.
Klavan has been allowed to leave Anfield this summer after failing to receive first-team assurances from Jurgen Klopp for the season ahead.
The experienced defender has been linked with several clubs but a move to Italy appears to be on the cards, with Cagliari making efforts to push the deal over the line.

Klavan underwent a medical at Cagliari this afternoon, as per a report from Football Italia, but international clearance is now required if the deal is to be formalised.
The transfer window for buying Serie A clubs slams shut this evening, leaving Cagliari with a big task as they look to tie up the signing of Klavan from Liverpool.
Klavan has served the Reds well as a backup option since arriving under Klopp but will now seek pastures new in Italy.
