Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that he has held talks with England boss Gareth Southgate regarding the inclusion of Joe Gomez in England’s upcoming friendly, according to a report on the Daily Star.
England will come up against the USA on Thursday and Klopp would like it if Gomez does not be involved in the match.

The young centre-back has been nursing an Achilles problem but was fit enough to play the full 90 minutes in the comfortable 2-0 victory over Fulham at Anfield on Sunday.
Ultimately, the decision rests with Southgate, whose side will also play against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League after the friendly.
Klopp said:
Joe has played all the games, we are not sure, we are in talks about that.
Gomez has become one of Liverpool’s most important players this season and has developed a healthy partnership with Virgil Van Dijk at the back.
The last thing Klopp wants is another injury during the international break, so we’ll have to wait and see whether Gomez gets the nod from Southgate or not.
