Klopp open to signing players in January transfer window

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he is “keeping the door open” for potential arrivals during the January transfer window, according to a report on the Evening Standard.

Liverpool splashed the cash last January to sign influential defender Virgil Van Dijk and Klopp has not ruled out doing the same again this time around.

With injuries starting to affect his squad, Klopp may be forced to bring in one or two players as a precaution, especially as the Reds are hoping to challenge for the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

When speaking about his January plans, Klopp said:

I’m very happy with what I’ve got and what I have but, how I said, we don’t know. That’s the only little bit why I keep the door open because if some things happen – a few more things – then we need to have to have a look.

There is coming a monstrous number of games still and it’s really important always that we can react, but as long as we can react it’s all good

If something will dramatically change then we need to have a look, that’s all. If nothing happens then I would say we will not do anything.

Klopp’s side is currently four points clear at the top of the table and is preparing for the Boxing Day clash with Newcastle United.
