Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is happy to stand by German midfielder Emre Can despite the recent breakdown in contract negotiations over wage demands.
Goal’s Liverpool correspondent Melissa Reddy revealed that Klopp will continue to select the German in his side as long as he doesn’t sense any attitude problems on the pitch.

The manager said:
As long as Emre doesn’t give me a sign that his mind is elsewhere, I don’t have to talk about it.
Can has become a vital part of the Liverpool midfield this season and has, on many occasions, been the link between the midfield and the attack.
The 23-year-old has managed to find the back of the net three times in the UEFA Champions League so far and Klopp is happy to continue to use him in his side.
With Philippe Coutinho ruled out and Gini Wijnaldum a doubt for the clash against West Ham United, Can is almost certainly guaranteed a starting spot for the fixture.
His contract expires in the summer but Liverpool are working hard to try and come to some sort of agreement with the player and his representatives as interest from a host of top European clubs is growing as the January transfer window edges closer.
