Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman has joked that he hopes to be put back into Jurgen Klopp’s ‘good books’ after resting Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Liverpool midfielder was an unused substitute against Belgium earlier this week.
Speaking to reporters after the game, as cited on AS, Koeman joked when quizzed about Wijnaldum and the Liverpool manager.
Maybe Mr Klopp is now very happy and that’s OK. I hope I am back in the good books.

Klopp would have been delighted to see his midfielder miss out as the injury concerns begin to pile up at Anfield.
The Reds have endured something of a disastrous international break in terms of injuries, with both Sadio Mane and Naby Keita returning with knocks.
Wijnaldum has emerged as a key player in Liverpool’s midfield this season and losing another in-form player is the last thing that the Reds boss wants to happen at this stage.
Klopp has been one of many managers to express his discontent with the new UEFA Nations League and the busy schedule it causes.
