Following the Reds’ acquisition of Alisson in a world-record deal from Roma, it seems Ward has been deemed surplus to the club’s requirements for the upcoming season.
Ward is believed to be keen on finding first-team football elsewhere and it seems he will hope to realise this ambition at Leicester following the move.

It’s been reported that Liverpool will receive a fee in the region of £10 million through the sale of Ward, as they continue to trim the squad of its fringe players heading into next season.
Liverpool are still well-stocked with goalkeeping options despite Ward’s departure, too. Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, along with Alisson now, remain on the club’s books.
