Liverpool agree fee for Thiago Alcantara

Liverpool have agreed a fee with Bayern Munich for Thiago Alcantara.

The Reds have agreed a fee of around €30m with the German side for the Spanish midfielder and with personal terms all but agreed, a move could be completed in the very near future.

The links to Thiago have been rumbling on for a number of weeks, with many fans left frustrated at the lack of incoming signings at Anfield but this news should be a huge boost to Liverpool supporters.

Liverpool have often looked to buy stars and turn them into world-class players but given his track record, haul of medals and sheer ability, there is little doubt that The Reds are getting themselves a clear world-class footballer.

Given the timing of events, it’s highly unlikely that Thiago will be part of the Liverpool squad for this weekend’s game against Chelsea but he could be a Liverpool player for the game against Arsenal on September 28th.
