Liverpool’s main summer transfer target Naby Keita has reportedly agreed a contract in principle with the Reds, according to ESPN’s Senior Writer Gabriele Marcotti.
Marcotti states that central midfielder Keita, who impressed during his debut season in Germany, has agreed the contract length and salary he’d acquire if he does move to Anfield.

However, the main obstacle for Liverpool will be convincing Leipzig to sell. It’s been reported in Germany that Keita has a £48m release clause, which activates at the end of next season, but Jurgen Klopp wants his man during the current window.
Klopp is urging Liverpool’s owners to make a club record bid for the RB Leipzig midfielder despite the German club stating that their player is not for sale.
A fee of around £70m has been mentioned over the past week and would be one that may force last season’s Bundesliga runners up to seriously consider selling up.
