Liverpool agree ticket price reduction with Porto

Away tickets for the second leg in Portugal were set at £73 (€85), but after issues over the high prices when the sides met in the round of 16 last year, the club have worked together and with UEFA to agree on a new price of £52 (€60).

In a club statement, Liverpool said:

Liverpool would like to thank FC Porto for working with the club on a pricing structure.

Fellow Champions League clubs are also continuing to work with UEFA to negotiate the fairest ticket prices for their fans throughout the competition.

The dialogue regarding a price cap on tickets for away fans will also continue. Until such a cap is agreed, Liverpool will continue to work with the opposition and UEFA to discuss the most reasonable ways of reducing costs for travelling supporters.

The Reds will be confident of booking a place in the last four of the tournament but will not take Porto lightly.
