Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Lyon and asked to be kept updated about the future of Manchester City and Chelsea target Houssem Aouar.
According to reports from Telefoot, as cited on Tribal Football, the Reds want to stay in the loop as they prepare to battle their Premier League rivals for the midfielder’s signature.
Aouar has been catching the eye of many with his performances for Lyon this season, particularly in the Champions League.
Manchester City have been tipped to snap up his services after being left impressed with his potential following their meeting with the French side in the Champions League.
Chelsea have also been credited with an interest, as head coach Maurizio Sarri is said to be a big admirer of the player.
Liverpool will be fully aware that Lyon’s Jean-Michel Aulas is known to be a difficult negotiator and the Reds face a battle to lure him away from the Ligue 1 outfit.
