Liverpool have denied any interest in a deal to sign Turkish youngster Abdulkadir Omur from Trabzonspor.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, the Reds are not on the verge of completing a €20 million move to sign the player, despite reports that suggested otherwise.
It was claimed at the start of the week that the two clubs had agreed a deal that would see the player join Liverpool at the end of the season.
The Echo goes on to explain that the player is not a target for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who remain unlikely to bring anybody in this month.

Omur has been heavily linked with moves to Anfield in recent weeks as he continues to impress in Turkey.
His performances for Trabzonspor have seen him draw comparisons to a young Lionel Messi, but ultimately, Liverpool now looks unlikely to be his next destination.
With Omur looking likely to secure a big move away from Trabzonspor, it appears that the Reds’ reported interest has been used as a method of engineering interest around the continent.
