Some Liverpool fans have been reacting joyously to the news that the Reds are closing in on a deal to sign Ozan Kabak.
The Schalke centre-back will officially sign for the Premier League champions later on Monday, joining on a £1million loan deal until the end of the season, as confirmed by the Times‘ Paul Joyce.
Liverpool will have an option to sign Kabak on a permanent contract at the end of the season, with the 20-year-old costing £18million at that point.

It is a significant piece of business for the Reds, who find themselves in an unprecedented situation at centre-back.
All four of their current main options in that position – Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Fabinho – are out injured, highlighting the need for reinforcements.
These Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news of Kabak’s imminent arrival, with positivity the order of the day and Michael Edwards receiving plenty of praise.
That deal is insanely good
£1m and no obligation to buy is absolutely insane from Edwards. https://t.co/ihRuNWjJSJ

Think it’s about time Micheal Edwards got a statue outside Anfield.

£18m option to buy for Kabak sounds very good for Liverpool. Schalke were apparently asking for around £30m for him last summer.
