Liverpool fans criticise Oxlade-Chamberlain after latest poor showing

A number of Liverpool fans have criticised Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, following a hugely disappointing performance against Burnley.

The Reds were stunned at Anfield on Thursday night, losing 1-0 to the Clarets, as their long unbeaten home run in the Premier League went up in smoke.

Ashley Barnes’ late penalty proved to be the difference between the two sides, on a night when Liverpool’s title hopes took an almighty blow.

It was the latest lifeless showing from Jurgen Klopp’s side, who have now not scored in their last four league games.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed a rare start at Anfield, playing on the right-hand side in place of Mohamed Salah.

The 27-year-old had no impact on the game, however, finding himself substituted early in the second half, cutting a frustrated figure as he left the pitch.

These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to bemoan Oxlade-Chamberlain’s lack of influence, on a night when his stock fell further.
