Liverpool join the race for Kylian Mbappe

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made contact with Kylian Mbappe’s representatives as they look to join the race for the teenage sensation, according to the Daily Mail.

Real Madrid are believed to be leading the race for the 18-year-old and are prepared to match Monaco’s £100 million asking price for the French forward.

However, Liverpool along with Arsenal, have monitored Mbappe’s progress during the last 12 months and it seems that Klopp is ready to make a move for the Monaco teenager, with Klopp holding preliminary talks with his agents.

Mbappe starred for the French side in his debut season as they won Ligue 1 and made the semi-finals of the Champions League. Mbappe scored 24 times and set up eight more in all competitions and could feature for France against England on Tuesday.

Liverpool would be able to tempt Mbappe with various incentives including Champions League football. He’d almost be certain to start every week, which wouldn’t be of guarantee if he signed for Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid.
