Liverpool keen on January move for Pastore

According to reports in Paris, French giants Paris Saint-Germain will allow attacking midfielder Javier Pastore to leave the club for £26 million, with Liverpool and Chelsea howing real interest, according to talkSPORT.

Pastore, 28, has fallen down the pecking order and is thought to be open to a move away from Paris, however, Chelsea and Calcio A side Inter Milan are also keeping tabs on the midfielder’s situation as the January window nears.

The French giants are needing to balance their books with UEFA’s Financial Fair play rule, after spending £200 million on Neymar and agreeing a loan deal for Kylian Mbappe, a deal which will be made permanent next July for a fee in the region of £160 million.

With the possibility of Philippe Coutinho heading to Barcelona in January, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp may see Pastore as an ideal replacement for the Brazilian, if the Reds decide to sell, or even bringing in the Argentine international to bolster the Reds’ midfield options.
