Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on the progress of Tanguy Ndombele at Lyon.
The midfielder enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season last term and according to claims from French news outlet Le Progres, a host of top European clubs are interested in signing him.
Ndombele has established himself as a key player for Lyon and has been widely dubbed as one of Ligue 1’s brightest young talents.
Manchester United have been noted with particular interest in recent weeks but if claims from Le Progres are to be believed, Liverpool have been monitoring his progress in France.
The Reds have previously been in negotiations with Lyon this summer, but they opted to pull out of their proposed deal to sign Nabil Fekir as a consequence of medical concerns.
If Liverpool do indeed push to sign Ndombele, though, they’ll need to fend off stiff competition. It’s believed that along with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are also keen.
