Liverpool once again linked with a move for James Rodriguez

Liverpool and Arsenal are both being linked with shock moves to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.

According to the Mirror, the player is unhappy in Germany and is unlikely to complete a permanent move to the Bundesliga side.

However, the player is also no longer needed in Spain at his parent club Real Madrid.

Bayern have the option to sign the player permanently as part of the two-year loan deal that was agreed between both clubs, but Rodriguez has endured a tricky relationship with Niko Kovac and has failed to break into his side on a regular basis this season.

It is claimed that Arsenal are leading the race to sign the Colombian, but a move to Anfield is not being ruled out at this stage.

Having spent time in Portugal, France, Spain and now Germany, the Premier League could be the next destination for the midfield maestro.
