Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak reportedly had the opportunity to join Liverpool this summer.
According to reports in his native Slovenia, as relayed by Sport Witness, both the Reds and Paris Saint-Germain were interested in signing the player over the summer.
Both clubs went into the transfer market aiming to sign a new goalkeeper and they had the Atletico Madrid man in their sights.

Oblak, one of the most highly rated goalkeepers in European football, boasts a huge release clause worth a reported €100 million, meaning he was never going to leave on the cheap.
PSG were reportedly unable to stretch that far due to financial fair play restrictions, while Liverpool’s offer was said to be turned down by the goalkeeper, with rumours still floating around about a move to France.
In the end, Liverpool spent big on Alisson, who has made an instant impact since joining as the club’s new number one, so Jurgen Klopp may not be too disappointed in the fact he missed out on Oblak.
