The Reds were reported to have made an enquiry over a potential move for the youngster recently and it seems they have firmed up their interest by opening talks.

It is claimed by Schira that a scout was sent by the Merseyside club to observe Tonali in Brescia’s encounter with Spezia on Sunday afternoon as they continue to ponder a move to sign him.
The likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Roma and Inter are all stated to have expressed an interest in signing the Italian Under-19 international.
However, if potential suitors are to complete a deal for the Brescia star, they will be forced to cough up a fee reported to be worth €35 million.
