Zeljko Buvac is unlikely to return to Liverpool in any capacity after he was not present on the first day of pre-season training.
The Daily Mail reports that his time at Anfield appears to have come to an end, despite some suggestions he could return to the role during the summer.
Buvac walked out on Liverpool just days before they were due to face Roma in the Champions League.
The situation at Anfield has been played down by Jurgen Klopp, who cited personal reasons for his departure.
It is yet to be seen if this was the true reasons behind his departure, especially after Klopp’s former number two was heavily linked with the Arsenal job prior to Unai Emery’s appointment.
The report claims that there will be no further additions made the backroom staff, despite Buvac’s departure. Pepjin Linders returned to the club recently and he is expected to step into the role.
