Liverpool are eyeing up a massive summer move for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to a report from the Mirror‘s John Cross.
Arsenal are also keen on the French striker as they look for possible replacements for Alexis Sanchez as the Chilean international is yet to sign a new contract with the Gunners.
According to Cross, Liverpool will need to let Daniel Sturridge leave in the summer in order to make space, and funds, available for Lacazette and they are seemingly willing to do just that.
Sturridge’s injury issues look to have caught up with him and it appears that he’s unable to play in a manner that Jurgen Klopp wants.
Lacazette, on the other hand, is extremely athletic and he has a goalscoring record which would excite Liverpool fans who are looking for a new talisman.
Lyon apparently value the 25-year-old at £60m, so time will tell if Liverpool are willing to spend such a high amount.
