Premier League side Liverpool look set to miss out on the signature of Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal, who is close to returning to his former club Sevilla, according to a report on CalcioMercato.
The 28-year-old right back has been linked with a move to Anfield, with manager Jurgen Klopp keeping a close eye on his situation at the Camp Nou.

However, the defender looks increasingly likely to stay in La Liga with Sevilla, who are keen to take him off Barcelona’s hands.
The right-back has failed to break into the first team at the Catalan club ever since he joined in 2015 and has become frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities, leading him to seek a move away from the league leaders.
The move is likely to be a loan until the end of the season, with Sevilla having an option to buy him in the summer.
Klopp is eager to strengthen his squad, which has shown promising signs after convincingly beating Manchester City last weekend.
