Liverpool have been named as an unlikely contender in the race to sign Manchester United and Chelsea target Gareth Bale this summer.
Sport, as cited by Sport Witness claim that Liverpool are one of several sides interested in a deal for the player who has been valued at €75 million.
Madrid are ready to sell the player this summer after he has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.
Liverpool have showcased their ability to splash the cash with the signing of Virgil van Dijk, but Bale’s huge wage demands partnered with the high asking price mean that any deal to Anfield appears unlikely.
However, despite Bayern Munich also being credited with an interest, a move back to the Premier League does appear to be the most likely option for the Welshman.
Chelsea had been the most heavily linked with Bale, reports are suggesting a move could see Eden Hazard swap London for Madrid in the summer.
