Manchester City have been handed an injury boost ahead of this weekend’s clash with Liverpool as Spanish midfielder Rodri is back in training after his recent layoff.
The 23-year-old sat out of City’s last two home games, against Aston Villa and Southampton respectively, with a hamstring injury picked up during his side’s 5-1 Champions League win over Atalanta on Tuesday 22nd October.
At the time, it was reported that the Spaniard could be out for a month, however, as per the Liverpool Echo, Rodri is already back in training ahead of the huge game this weekend.
As it stands, there is no news on whether City expect the midfielder to be ready to play at Anfield on Sunday, but with five days between now and the game, it looks like he at least has a chance of being involved.

Man City do have a few injury worries, with the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko, David Silva and Aymeric Laporte all missing. Rodri was also expected to miss the game at Anfield but he could now be back for the huge clash.
If he is 100%, he’ll be a welcome addition for City, but if he’s not fully ready, it could be a huge risk to select him for what is sure to be an intense game between two of Europe’s best sides.
