Pep Guardiola has confirmed that French defender Benjamin Mendy could feature on Sunday against Liverpool.
As reported by Sky Sports, Guardiola hinted that the attacking left-back could play some part in the game, despite originally being considered as a major doubt for the game.
It had been suggested that the player was still struggling with a foot injury that he had sustained in training.

The defender was not named in the most recent France squad for the upcoming international break, what many people considered as a clear indicator he would be playing no part at Anfield.
However, with Fabian Delph also ruled out of the game, Guardiola was facing a left-back injury crisis.
Should Mendy go on to feature in the game, he will be keen to make an impression following reports of a row between himself and Guardiola over his attitude off the pitch.
