Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is confident that Naby Keita’s best performances are still to come for Liverpool, as reported on the official club website.
The two players have forged a close friendship since Keita joined the club in the summer.
Keita has made a slow start to life at the club and has not produced the performances that many fans expected from him.
However, Mane believes that he is still settling in and when he finds his feet, then he will be an important player for the club.
Mane said:
I just told him today in training, ‘I know your qualities and for sure, everyone is waiting for more from you because that’s normal, it’s a big club and you are doing your best – but you can do more’.
You saw it last game, he did very well and everyone was happy with him. For sure, a lot more is coming – and I am confident it will because I know him.
The Reds are currently in Marbella and the pair are staying together in the same room as their friendship continues to blossom.
