Sadio Mane’s outstanding early-season form for Liverpool has been rewarded, with the Senegal international receiving the PFA Player of the Month award for August.

The Reds have started the new Premier League campaign in fine form, with Mane proving to be instrumental in their strong start.
After four top-flight games, Liverpool sit at the very summit of the Premier League table with a 100% record. They have defeated West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Hove Albion and, most recently, Leicester City to climb to the very top of the league at this early stage.
Over this period, Mane’s impressive attacking performances have been vital. The 26-year-old netted a brace against West Ham and found the net on two other occasions against Palace and Leicester respectively.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that Mane can continue this rich vein of form as Liverpool look to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
