The Football Association have confirmed that Liverpool forward Sadio Mane will not face any disciplinary action following his altercation with Arsenal defender Stephan Lichtsteiner, as reported on Sky Sports.
The Senegal international was looking to get behind the Arsenal defence before being blocked off by Lichtsteiner, with Mane believing that the Swiss threw an elbow into him.

Mane reacted angrily and wrapped his hands around the defender’s neck before wisely deciding to let go before things got worse.

The match officials failed to spot the altercation and both players escaped on the field punishment.
There were fears that Mane may be forced to miss the crucial clash with Manchester City later this week at the Etihad Stadium.
Mane managed to get his name on the scoresheet as Liverpool thrashed the Gunners 5-1.
