Fiorentina have reportedly identified Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic as a potential transfer target.
The Serbian has long been linked with a move away from Anfield and was given the chance to depart the club by Jurgen Klopp during the most recent summer transfer window.
However, a move to RSC Anderlecht fell through and Markovic has been forced to sit out of Liverpool’s season so far, with the wide player not in the plans of his manager.

It’s likely that the former Benfica man will be headed for an exit in the January transfer window and according to Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato, he has emerged as an option for Fiorentina.
The Serie A club are stated to be on the lookout for a new winger in the mid-season window, with Villarreal star Nicola Sansone lined up for a return to his homeland of Italy.
Although, should Fiorentina fail in their alleged efforts to sign the winger, it’s claimed that Markovic has been identified as a contingency plan by Stefano Pioli’s side.
