Liverpool’s former Under 23’s manager Michael Beale has returned to the club’s academy as head of coaching for the foundation phase, where will spend his time mainly helping with the Under 5’s – Under 11’s, according to the club’s website.
Beale took up a role in Brazil with Sao Paulo, but has now returned to Kirkby, where his main responsibilities are overseeing the coaching programme and helping develop the current academy coaches.

Along with those roles, Beale will also be helping out Alex Inglethorpe and Nick Marshall as they monitor the progress of the club’s groups from Under 12’s all the way up to the Under 23 side.
Beale told the club website:
It’s fantastic to be back and it feels like I haven’t left the place. It just feels like I’m back home at a special place with a lot of good friends and I hope to play a small part in what we are trying to do.
