James Milner is set to return for Liverpool’s clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night and will play as a right-back.
It is reported by the Evening Standard that the former England international will slot in at the unfamiliar position on the right-hand side of defence as Jurgen Klopp rotates his squad.
The experienced midfielder was forced to sit out of the Reds’ most recent outing against Manchester United in the Premier League.

Nathaniel Clyne was passed fit to compete in the 3-1 win against the Red Devils but it is believed that Milner will be called upon to operate as a right-back at Molineux.
The former Manchester City star has been deployed in a number of different positions under Klopp in recent seasons and is set to continue this trend as Liverpool bid to strengthen their position at the top of the Premier League table.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez remain sidelined, leaving the Reds’ options at right-back limited.
