Milner remains confident Liverpool’s front three will begin to fire

James Milner has insisted that it is only a matter of time before Liverpool’s attacking trio begin to fire on a regular basis.

Mohamed Salah’s recent displays have come in for some criticism, with the Egyptian missing some golden chances to find the net against Chelsea. Despite this, he has still scored three goals in all competitions at this early stage.

Roberto Firmino has also found the net three times this season, while Sadio Mane has chipped in with a total of four.

Milner was quizzed on the front three’s recent inconsistencies following Liverpool’s 1-1 draw away at Chelsea on Saturday, with Daniel Sturridge having snatched a late point for his side.

As quoted by the club’s official website, the former England international explained that there is no cause for concern regarding the team’s lack of ruthlessness in the final third, highlighting their chance creation as a big strength.

The amount of chances we are creating is pleasing and I think you would be more worried if you weren’t creating the chances. I’m sure they will start going in a bit easier soon.

Sometimes you have to find a way to get a point or a win in whatever way you can and it was a positive point.
