James Milner will need a late fitness test ahead of Liverpool’s meeting with Burnley this weekend, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, as reported by Paul Joyce, Klopp cast some doubts over the player’s fitness.
The Liverpool boss added that he was confident about the midfielder’s chances, given it is only a small muscle injury, but he could not confirm he would start the game.
Milner started on the bench against Everton in the Merseyside Derby but did come on to feature in the game.

The Englishman has been a regular under Klopp this season, but the injury could see Naby Keita given a start in the middle of the park.
With Manchester City playing on Saturday night, Liverpool could go into the game four points behind the league leaders, leaving them with some space to make up in the title race.
