Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita will not be in the squad to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday night due to a minor injury.
James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo reports that an injury will keep the player out of action, although it is not clear at this stage what exactly it is.
Concerns had been rising among supporters after many noticed that the player was not involved in the club’s final training session on Tuesday.
With Adam Lallana impressing on his return to the starting XI against Burnley over the weekend, it is unknown whether or not Keita was in line to start, but his absence will no doubt come as a huge blow to the Reds.
Liverpool will be hoping that Keita’s injury is not too serious, with tough games in the Premier League title run-in to come over the next few weeks.
